The Canadian Association of Credit Counselling Services (CACCS) represents a Canada-wide network of accredited, not-for-profit agencies and affiliates offering preventive education and confidential services to clients experiencing financial difficulties.

With a focus on financial counselling education, accreditation of agencies and certification of Credit Counsellors, CACCS is also committed to national research and policy initiatives concerning personal finance and industry advocacy.

Certification: Expert Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Our Certified Credit Counsellors are the highest skilled and trained professionals in the areas of personal finance, consumer credit and money management in Canada. Counsellor Certification ensures that clients receive credible service from highly-trained, qualified counsellors who meet uniform standards.  Individuals wishing to achieve their Certified status must meet the rigor of the program. 

Continuing Education Units

Certification requires the certificant to keep abreast of developments in the subject matter and practice of the specialty.  Certification requires certificants to acquire appropriate continuing education units (CEU) and to report these on a biennial basis.
